Children 6 months to about 1 year learn to "rollback to float."

Rollback to Float lessons teach your baby to independently turn themselves onto their back if ever face down in the water to safely breathe, rest, and float on their back.  This skill set takes about 4-6 weeks to accomplish. Lessons are held 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) at the same time each day.  Lessons are 10 minutes at maximum, to honor the principles of sensorimotor learning. The key to successful behavioral shaping is ending the lesson off after the student’s best attempt of the specific target during that lesson.

Children over 1 year to about 2 years learn to "swim float."

About Me

I am a proud owner of a beautiful indoor swim school near FAU, where I have taught hundreds of children to self-rescue swim over the last 7.5 years. The pool is a clean indoor, heated, salt water facility. I teach children as young as 6 months old to adults! I have been a certified ISR instructor since 2016. Prior to teaching ISR and CPR I taught at a local pre-school here in Boca Raton for 10 years. I have always loved teaching and working with children, watching their minds develop is truly magical, helping facilitate that growth and development is priceless.

I found out about ISR back in 2014 AFTER a drowning incident where I saved the life of little girl who was only 2 years old,by performing CPR. Luckily, she walked away unharmed after a short hospital stay.  After that experience, I was quick to put my two sons ages 1 and 3 into lessons. The little girl I saved also started ISR with us back in 2014! I fell in love with the program, leaving my classroom behind to join the mission of educating children and their families on the importance of CPR, water safety and self rescue swim lessons. Bringing my knowledge of early childhood education and development into each lesson. Working at your child’s emotional and physical skill level taking our time to ensure your little ones become confident safe swimmers.

I am also American Heart Association Instructor Trainer! I not only teach CPR courses. I also teach AHA instructors to teach BLS CPR Courses.

Teaching is my passion! My goal is that each individual from an infant to an adult leaves my courses with the skills that could possibly save their own life or the lives of others.

A little about myself and family! I grew up here in Boca Raton. My father is an avid sailor and we lived for our weekend getaways. Growing up on the water, it’s an understatement to say I LOVE the ocean. The sound of the oceans waves, rain or shine, is my peace, especially in this loud world we live in. My husband and I are celebrating 20 years of marriage this year. We share 4 AMAZING children ages 19, 14, 11 & 4. Doing life with this wild family is simply the best! Our favorite family activities are chasing the sun, hiking, sailing and anything that brings us closer to nature.

We were at the beach the other day, playing in the surf and it was pretty rough. She kept getting knocked over and would immediately pop up turn on her back and stick her little chin in the air. Just like you taught her. It was entirely like a built in reflex!!! Of course all of this was followed with great giggles and lots of again against. You did a great JOB!
